Troop 280 is a Scout Troop in St. John's County, FL. Our troop is dedicated to teaching young boys and girls (in our sister troop 9280) valuable life skills and leadership qualities through the Boy Scouts of America program.

TROOP MEETINGS
Our troop meetings are held on Monday evenings from
6:45 pm - 8:30 pm
COURT OF HONORS
Our Court of Honor ceremonies are held four times per year.
Meeting Format
Meetings will usually consist of an Opening (Flag Ceremony, reciting of the Scout Oath, Scout Law, and Outdoor Code), announcements from scouts and adults, either monthly themed topic of learning or Patrol activities, and finally Closing (Scout Benediction). On nights where Patrol activities are scheduled, the scouts will break up into their patrols and work on items such as rank advancements. On nights where the monthly theme is covered, scouts or adult leaders will teach information that supports the monthly theme, which will relate to Merit Badges, Rank Advancement items, or both and are selected by the scout leadership team (PLC) during yearly planning sessions.
